🚨 Bentley has officially entered the EV era with the Torcal, the brand’s first fully electric production car.

The new luxury SUV launches in standard Torcal and performance-focused Torcal S forms, with the S becoming the most powerful production Bentley ever built.

With Launch Control active, the Torcal S produces 876 hp and 996 lb-ft of torque while hitting 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds.

Bentley also claims up to 375 miles of WLTP range, while its 800-volt electrical system supports charging at up to 400 kW.

That means a 10-80% charge can take roughly 16 minutes under ideal conditions.

Despite ditching the combustion engine, Bentley has kept familiar design cues, including a huge illuminated diamond-style grille with 76 individual LED diamonds.

Bentley even created a synthetic performance soundtrack using recordings of real instruments rather than simply trying to imitate a traditional V8.

The Torcal sits at the more accessible end of Bentley’s lineup, with UK pricing beginning at £173,000, while final U.S. pricing has not yet been officially announced.

Bentley says roughly half of the early interest it has received is coming from people who are completely new to the brand, making the Torcal a major test of whether traditional ultra-luxury buyers are ready to go electric.
