He had a look. He had questions. He had a way of making every boyfriend deeply aware that there were consequences for poor decisions.

To be fair to him — technically he succeeded. Not a single boy is responsible for any of them. Brit showed up, I never looked back, and now he has five grandchildren and a daughter who is, by every measure, living her dream life.
