While flying across the ocean toward Lanka, Hanuman encountered a terrifying rakshasi named Simhika.

She possessed a remarkable power —

she could seize the shadow of a person flying above her and hold them back.

Hanuman suddenly felt himself being pulled down.

He looked below.

His shadow had been caught.

But Simhika had made one mistake.

She had underestimated Hanuman.

Instead of fighting her with brute force, Hanuman changed his size, entered her enormous mouth, attacked her from within, and defeated her.

He then emerged and continued his journey across the ocean toward Lanka.

A short encounter in the Ramayana…

but one that shows something fundamental about Hanuman:

Strength. Speed. Intelligence.

🔥 THE JOURNEY TO LANKA

A cinematic reimagining of Hanuman’s encounter with Simhika.
