His longevity should be studied.

Kevin Durant’s longevity as an elite scorer is actually ridiculous 🤯 At 20 years old, KD averaged 25.3 PPG. At 30, he was still around 26 PPG. At 37, he was STILL hovering around 26 PPG. Nearly two decades apart and the scoring production barely moved. That type of consistency is almost unheard of. 🐐🔥

What makes Kevin Durant’s run even crazier is the efficiency. He’s stacked season after season of 25+ PPG while shooting around or above 50% from the field, despite defenses knowing exactly what’s coming. Different teams, different eras, a torn Achilles, different roles — yet the jumper, handle and ability to score from anywhere have continued to translate. 🎯

KD’s game was built to age gracefully because he never needed overwhelming athleticism to get buckets. A nearly 7-footer who can pull up from three, attack off the dribble and shoot over basically anybody is a nightmare at any age. When Durant finally retires, his longevity deserves to be one of the biggest parts of his legacy.
