Kyrie Irvings skill on the basketball court is an art form to witness. The work he has put in to achieve this is unreal.

Growing up, Kyrie’s father Drederick put him through years of repetitive work in their driveway — Mikan drills, right- and left-handed layups, two-ball dribbling, tennis-ball drills, crossovers, behind-the-backs and changes of speed. His dad would even use the headlights of his Audi to keep the workouts going at night.

That same attention to detail showed up again during his ACL rehab. After tearing his left ACL in March 2025, Kyrie committed to a long, gradual recovery, often doing multiple rehab sessions a day. By September, he emphasized that he was on schedule, not ahead of schedule, and credited the process of taking his time rather than rushing back.

The skill is special. The amount of work behind it might be even more impressive.
