A neuroscientist's warning that Gen Z may be falling behind millennials in cognitive skills has sparked debate over whether technology is changing how younger generations learn. In testimony to the U.S. Senate, Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath pointed to trends in IQ scores and academic performance, arguing that declines in attention, memory and reasoning coincide with the rise of digital technology in classrooms. Horvath believes schools' growing reliance on screens and educational technology may be contributing to the problem. But the claim that Gen Z is definitively less intelligent than millennials remains disputed, and the data cited does not establish that technology caused the declines. #genz #millennials #technology #intelligence #viral
