Initially he was passed over in his USHL's phase 1 draft and then he was taken at #184 in the Phase 2 by Sioux Falls in 2021. He didn't earn a job with the Stampede that summer so he went to the NAHL's Minnesota Wilderness for the 21-22 season where he put 28pts while playing 21:23 TOI per game and winning 63% of his puck battles. He turned that season into being selected at #4 overall by Waterloo in the 2022 Phase 2 draft and during 22-23 he went on to average 20:21 TOI per game while winning 59% of his puck battles and putting up 36 points.
