The Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) was adopted by voters in 2018, and it has raised about $200 million a year since tax collection began in 2019. In November, voters in Eugene will consider adopting a clean energy fund of their own, heavily inspired by PCEF.⁠
