## Caption

Israel soccer forward Saied Abu Farchi was sent off after celebrating his goal against Austria with a gesture Israeli media described as snooker-themed.⁣
⁣
Farchi's celebration in the Nations League group stage match garnered widespread reactions, with multiple sources accusing him of mimicking the firing of a gun.⁣
⁣
Uefa rules say a player must be cautioned for "gesturing or acting in a provocative, derisory or inflammatory way", while removing the corner flag is also a bookable offence.⁣
⁣
The 20-year-old headed Israel level in the 55th minute after Austria had taken the lead through Romano Schmid’s first-half penalty.⁣
⁣
Abu Farchi ran to the corner, grabbed the flag and held it out in front of himself before raising it upwards.⁣
⁣
He had already been booked four minutes earlier, and the referee showed him a second yellow card for the celebration, leaving Israel with 10 players.⁣
⁣
Austria eventually won 3-1, with Phillipp Mwene restoring the lead in the 90th minute before Sasa Kalajdzic added a third in stoppage time.⁣
