Elon Musk said Chinese AI models are generally outstanding during an interview with China Media Group (CMG) on Wednesday.⁣
⁣
He noted that despite limited compute, Chinese AI companies are topping intelligence rankings — calling their performance-per-unit-of-compute "by far the best."⁣
⁣
Musk also predicted China will overcome its compute limitations through advances in lithography and chip-making within just 2-3 years — faster than most expect.⁣
