Want to become a licensed nail technician in New York? 

You have two pathways to get started:

🎓 Option 1: Attend Beauty School Complete a NYS-approved Nail Specialty program, finish the required training hours, and move through the licensing process.

💼 Option 2: Become a NYS Nail Trainee Instead of attending a traditional beauty school, you can train under a licensed Nail Specialty professional through New York State’s Nail Trainee pathway.

To begin the Nail Trainee process, you’ll need to complete the required 27-Hour Nail Specialty Trainee course before continuing your supervised training.
