We know we’ve shared this story before, but it’s one we’ll probably never stop sharing because we need the reminder too. Steven and I didn’t come from money. We built everything we have from the ground up. 12 years ago, my parents had to co-sign a house for us because we couldn’t get approved on our own. Our mortgage was only $550 a month, and there were times we had to choose between paying bills, putting gas in the car, or buying dog food. Sometimes there was literally $3 in our bank account until the next paycheck. Today, we’re closing on our 13th property. We obviously couldn’t have done it without the people who supported us, believed in us, and helped us along the way. People might think you’re crazy for pursuing a different dream. And when you finally get there, they’ll see the success without seeing the struggle. But if you’re in a season where things feel impossible, please don’t let where you are today convince you that’s where you’ll always be!
