Self-care isn’t always soft.

Sometimes it’s a facial, a new mask, therapy and taking care of my skin.

And sometimes it’s NO.

No to what I don’t want.
No to what doesn’t feel right.
No to giving people access simply because I know them.
No to allowing someone I trust to lead me somewhere I’ll have to fight my way back from.

I’ve learned that some of the most important boundaries I’ve ever created weren’t meant to punish anybody else.

They were meant to protect me.

So this week, that’s part of my self-care: continuing to respect my own NO.

Rooted. Sovereign. Whole. 💙
