Golden Hour at Cortijo Maria Luisa

Golden hour is one of the most beautiful times of the day for bride and groom portraits, and this Cortijo Maria Luisa Wedding in Nerja gave us the perfect setting for a relaxed evening session around the venue.

As the light softened, we took a little time away from the reception to explore the gardens, terraces and surrounding areas of Cortijo Maria Luisa. The warm evening light, traditional Andalusian details and natural surroundings created a beautiful mix of romantic and elegant backdrops without taking the couple away from their guests for too long.

I always like golden hour sessions to feel relaxed rather than overly posed, allowing the bride and groom to enjoy a few quiet moments together while I capture natural interaction alongside a selection of more refined portraits.

Cortijo Maria Luisa is particularly well suited to this part of the wedding day, with plenty of variety around the venue and beautiful outdoor spaces that come alive as the sun begins to set.

As a Nerja wedding photographer and videographer, I love using this softer evening light to create timeless photographs and cinematic video that feel completely different from the rest of the day.

For couples planning a Cortijo Maria Luisa Wedding, a short golden hour session around the venue is the perfect way to add a set of romantic, elegant portraits to the story of the wedding day.
