Golden Hour and Reception at a Cortijo Maria Luisa Wedding

Golden hour is always one of the best times to step away for a few relaxed bride and groom portraits, and a Cortijo Maria Luisa Wedding in Nerja gives couples a beautiful setting for exactly that.

With the soft evening light falling across the gardens and outdoor spaces, the venue creates a warm and romantic backdrop for natural couple photographs and cinematic wedding video. It is the perfect part of the day to slow things down for a few minutes, enjoy some time together and capture elegant portraits without making the session feel overly posed.

Once the sun goes down, the atmosphere changes completely as the reception gets into full swing. Cortijo Maria Luisa works brilliantly for a fun evening celebration, with plenty of space for guests to eat, drink, dance and enjoy the party. From spontaneous dance floor moments and laughter with friends to drinks, music and late-night celebrations, the reception is where the energy of the wedding really comes alive.

For couples planning a Cortijo Maria Luisa Wedding, the combination of romantic golden hour portraits and a lively reception makes for a fantastic mix of timeless images and genuine documentary moments.

As a wedding photographer and videographer based in Mijas, I love capturing both sides of the day — the quiet, romantic moments between the bride and groom and the completely unscripted fun once the party starts.
