🚂 Inside the historic Mar Mikhael Train Station, every stain, crack, and layer of paint tells part of Lebanon's railway story. Rather than erasing these traces of time, a dedicated conservation team — including many skilled women restorers — is carefully working to preserve them.

Funded by the Government of Italy through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by UNESCO and UN-Habitat, the recovery of Mar Mikhael Train Station seeks to transform the site into an "Industrial Heritage Park" — breathing new life into a space that once powered Lebanon's railway network and reconnecting people with an important chapter of the country's industrial history.

This is more than restoration, it is recovery of a shared cultural landmark and the revival of collective memory, built #ForThePeople.
