As the ace of the legendary 1989 team, Abbott helped lead the Dirtbags from a 14-45 season the year before to a 50-15 record and the program’s first trip to the College World Series. A First Team All-American, Abbott went 15-3 with a 2.73 ERA and 140 strikeouts in 135 innings. Following the season, the California Angels selected him ninth overall in the 1989 MLB Draft. From leading the Dirtbags to Omaha to pitching in the Big Leagues. 𝑢𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂 π‘«π’Šπ’“π’•π’ƒπ’‚π’ˆ, π‘¨π’π’˜π’‚π’šπ’” 𝒂 π‘«π’Šπ’“π’•π’ƒπ’‚π’ˆ #GoDirtbags | #LongBeachBuilt ## Stats - **Views:** 0 - **Likes:** 452 - **Shares:** 0 - **Comments:** 4 ## Tags longbeachbuilt, godirtbags --- Copyright (c) Gondola
