𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬!

Just as the U.S. broke with tradition 250 years ago at the country’s founding, this concert celebrates music that asks answers, takes risks, and breaks barriers.

On the program:
🎷𝐌𝐜𝐓𝐞𝐞: “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫” 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲
A twist on Ives’s The Unanswered Question: what if the answer everyone accepts is wrong?

🚀 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐠: 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐦𝐩! (𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐞)
Inspired by Felix Baumgartner’s legendary 2012 sound barrier-breaking jump from the stratosphere. It’s Michigan alum Adrian Wong’s first band transcription of his orchestral music.

💪 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐫: 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫
A tribute to the women who took on factory jobs in WWII, with tin cans, sirens, ship bells, and brake drums bringing the factory floor to the stage.

🎺 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨 (𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐞)
The first premiere of Dr. Snyder’s Emergence series, with band members featured in improvisatory solos.

🥁 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨: 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬
A celebration of freedom across the Americas. Snare drummers from the Michigan Marching Band join for a loud, proud finale.
