To some, a national monument may not sound like a place to go fishing and hunting. They would be mistaken.

Some of the best fishing and hunting in the United States are found on national monuments managed by the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service. These federal lands protect habitat, which is an essential ingredient for good fishing and hunting.

We’ve long supported national monuments because they keep public lands in public hands and give anglers and hunters the freedom to pursue big game, chase upland birds, and catch native and wild trout.

Link in bio for more info on fishing and hunting opportunities within national monuments.
