When I was younger, I thought the secret to building a great life was saying yes.

Yes to opportunities, yes to invitations, yes to experiences I wasn’t entirely sure I was ready for…

But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself becoming increasingly selective.

Not because I’m less curious. And certainly not because I’m less ambitious.

What I’ve come to realize is that every meaningful yes requires a hundred smaller nos.

Because anyone can accumulate. Taste is knowing what really deserves a place.
