Oh yea, we are doing our best to build a sustainable homestead in central Texas raising pigs, chickens, ducks, and a family milk cow! We are starting our solar homestead journey. Watch our transition from on-grid to off-grid power to see our technical plans. We have been building our life here since 2015, and now we are finally making the switch to renewable energy. This series documents the reality of moving our family through an off-grid transition, covering the decisions we are making to power our property independently. Whether you are planning a similar solar power setup or just curious about the logistics of living without the grid, we are sharing what we have learned so far. Our goal is to provide a clear look at how we manage our homesteading journey while raising our family in central Texas. Subscribe for weekly family homesteading advice, and let us know in the comments: what is the biggest hurdle your family has faced on this journey?
