5 months & 5 lessons from Eloise (aka Weezie) 🥹🤍

I can’t believe my baby is 5 months old today. It is crazy how much a tiny little human can teach you in such a short amount of time. I truly can’t imagine my life without her. She changed my life for the better and I couldn’t imagine a world without her. How did I get so lucky 😭🥹

1. What unconditional love really means.

It use to drive me crazy when people would say you don’t know what unconditional love is until you have a kid and then I had a kid and it made complete sense. There is something so different about the love you have for your children and what you would do for them.

2. Time is the most precious thing we have.

I’ve always known time was precious but when you have a tiny little human growing so fast and changing everyday it really puts into perspective just how fast life moves.

3. You don’t have to be perfect to be enough.

The responsibility of raising a tiny human in this world is no joke. It’s scary and overwhelming. I used to be so scared that I had to be perfect so I didn’t ’mess up my kid’ but the truth is you don’t have to be perfect (there is no such thing as perfect) you just have to be present.

4. What actually matters.

Everything that used to feel so big got a little smaller the day I met Eloise. I look back at people and situations I’ve been in and can’t believe I gave them so much of my time and energy. I can see in a whole knew way what actually matters in this life and what is worth my time and energy.

5. I don’t have to choose who I am. I am still me but ALSO a mom.

When people say there’s “life before kids” and “life after kids” that’s 100% accurate, but not in a “your life is over” way. So many people explain parenthood like you completely lose your identity when you become a mom and that’s a trap that’s easy to fall into. I’ve really put effort into trying to still be “me.” At first it felt selfish, but the truth is the happier you are as an individual the better you will show up for your kids. I couldn’t be more grateful to get to do what I love with my daughter by my side. 🤍

Weezie,
Happy 5 months. 🎉 T
