For the longest time, I was making eating enough protein WAY harder than it needed to be.
So instead of adding more rules, I started removing them. 😭
1️⃣I stopped thinking every meal needed to be a recipe.
Sometimes a high protein meal is literally 3 things thrown on a plate. If it has protein and I’ll actually eat it, it counts. 😂
2️⃣I stopped buying food that required 17 steps to prepare.
If I have to chop, marinate, cook, AND clean everything afterward… realistically, it might die in my fridge. 🥲
3️⃣I stopped meal prepping my entire week.
Because nothing humbles you faster than making 10 containers of something and deciding you hate it by Tuesday. 😭
4️⃣I stopped thinking convenience foods were “bad.”
Pre-cooked chicken, tuna packets, protein shakes, frozen foods, Greek yogurt… EASY is the whole point. Especially when executive dysfunction shows up.
5️⃣I stopped following meal plans that weren’t realistic for MY brain.
The “perfect” plan means nothing if it’s too complicated for me to actually follow.
Eating more protein became SO much easier when I stopped trying to do it perfectly and started asking:
“How can I make this easier for myself?” 🧠🩵
That’s exactly why I created my ADHD-friendly protein guide that’s simple, realistic, high-protein meals without a million steps.
🥣 Comment “PROTEIN” and I’ll send you my FREE 5-meal protein guide. #adhd #protein
