Steak bites to make my man happy🤎 these garlic dijon steak bites with mashed potatoes and crispy brussels sprouts make the perfect dinner after a long day.

ingredients

mashed potatoes
2½–3 lbs russet potatoes, peeled & chopped
6 tbsp butter
½ cup heavy cream
Salt, to taste

brussels sprouts
1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed & halved
2–3 tbsp avocado oil
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper

steak bites
1½ lbs steak, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tbsp avocado oil
1½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Oil, for searing

garlic dijon sauce
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1½–2 tsp fresh thyme
½ cup dry white wine
1 cup heavy cream
1½ tsp Dijon mustard
Salt & pepper, to taste

directions

1. Add the potatoes to a large pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes.
2. While the potatoes cook, preheat the oven to 425°F with a sheet pan inside. Toss Brussels sprouts with avocado oil, maple syrup and seasonings. Carefully add to the hot sheet pan cut-side down. Roast for 20–25 minutes until browned and crispy.
3. Once the potatoes are tender, drain well. Microwave the butter and heavy cream together until warm and the butter is melted. Add to the potatoes and whip with a hand mixer until creamy. Season with salt to taste. Cover and keep warm.
4. Right before serving, toss the steak with 1 tbsp avocado oil, salt and pepper. Heat a cast-iron skillet with a little oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites for about 1-2 minutes per side until nicely browned, working in batches if needed. Remove and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add garlic and thyme and cook for about 30 seconds. Pour in the white wine and simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up the browned bits from the pan.
6. Add heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 5–7 minutes, until slightly thickened.

Serve the steak bites and garlic dijon sauce over the mashed potatoes with crispy maple Brussels sprouts on the side. 🤍
