Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection examines desire through the tension between sensuality, freedom and restraint.

The collection is built around the image of the mirror: a space where the body is exposed, transformed and returned through the gaze. What begins as reflection becomes something more uncertain, where attraction and danger exist in close proximity.

There is a deliberate restraint to the sensuality. The body is revealed without being surrendered; vulnerability is treated not as weakness, but as another form of strength. The effect is intimate rather than overt, with desire communicated through gesture, movement and suggestion.

Freedom becomes the collection’s defining impulse. It is the decision to cross a boundary, remain in a moment for longer than expected, or open a door without knowing what lies beyond it. Risk is not treated as an interruption to desire, but as part of it.

The result is a collection concerned less with seduction itself than with the freedom that makes desire possible. It leaves the door open, allowing tension, uncertainty and possibility to remain at the centre.
