My unpopular opinion about sending kids away to college. 18 is legally an adult, but the brain doesn’t magically become fully mature on your 18th birthday. 

Frontal lobes involved in planning, judgement, and impulse control continue developing into early adulthood. 

That’s why I tell parents: your job isn’t over at 18. Guidance, boundaries, and connection still matter.
