Senior Spotlight 🎓: Anapaola Araujo Tupayachi

Anapaola is an international student from Cusco, Peru. She is currently finishing her fifth year of undergrad with a major in architecture and a minor in interior architecture.

Throughout her time at UO, she has found a home away from home in the International Cultural Service Program. Aside from making long-lasting connections in the program with other students from around the world, she also credits the program as the key reason why she wanted to pursue her studies in the U.S. “The program allowed me to share about my culture and myself as well as learn about others while delivering cultural presentations for all age groups in the Eugene/Springfield local communities during my school years,” Anapaola said.

“A piece of advice I would give to incoming students would be to not be afraid of trying new things, seeking opportunities, and making connections! Sometimes these might be out of comfort zones but they are worth experiencing.” 

After graduation, Anapaola will be joining the design staff team of an architectural firm in Portland, Oregon, starting in August.
