Mike Tomlin stepping away from the Steelers sideline revealed one of the most unexpected hobbies in sports, a Minecraft city he’s been quietly building with his kids for 12 straight years. He started it to connect with them when they were young, and even now with them grown, they still ask him to pull it up whenever they’re home, porting it from PS3 all the way to PS5 just to keep it alive.

What makes it special is why he’s finally sharing it, his own son pushed him to put it on YouTube so the world could see what he’s been building in creative mode this whole time. Nineteen seasons as head coach and it turns out the most patient, long-term project Tomlin’s ever worked on wasn’t football at all.

Did you expect Tomlin to be this deep into Minecraft the whole time?
