Let’s give it up for Tiffany and Livia! 👏🏼👏🏾👏🏽 This mother-daughter duo volunteer together as disaster action team (DAT) members with RedCrossNorthFL — in their roles, they respond to families’ needs after a home fire or other disaster, often providing comfort, resources and financial assistance to help them recover.

Although Livia is a full-time student studying pre-med and has a part-time job, she still makes time to volunteer with the Red Cross. She chose to be a DAT responder because she loves being hands-on in helping others.

“You become a different person after going on these calls,” she said. “You really realize what’s important in life.”

Tiffany was inspired by her daughter to join the Red Cross in Arkansas before moving to Florida and joining Livia’s team. She’s proud to work alongside her daughter in providing relief to families during what is often the worst day of their lives.

“When you are there, it is very gratifying,” Tiffany explained. “When everything is gone, we are the people on their team.”
