Okay, you all made it very clear: the spots are free, the parking is not 😂 So here’s where I’d park at every stop.

🅿️ Free parking
- Lake Hollywood Park: street parking on Canyon Lake Dr (one side is 15 min only, the other is open 6am–8pm)
- Hollywood Sign hike: free lots at the Canyon Dr trailhead
- Runyon Canyon: free street parking near the Fuller Ave entrance (lots of permit-only blocks, so read the signs), or try the small lot at the Mulholland entrance up top
- Ascot Hills: free lot inside the park
- Greystone Mansion: free lot on site
- Barnsdall Art Park: free lot, but it’s small
- Malibu: free along PCH wherever it’s legal
- Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook: free street parking on Jefferson Blvd at the bottom of the stairs (some spots are metered, so read the signs, and don’t leave anything visible in your car). The lot at the top is $6/day.

💸 Paid, but here’s the workaround
- Griffith Observatory: the lot is $10/hr. Park free near the Greek Theatre (except concert nights) and walk up or take the DASH shuttle. Parking is also free before noon on weekdays.
- The Grove: 2 hours free with validation, but go over and the validation no longer counts.
