Gordon von Steiner’s (gvsgvs) video for Troye Sivan’s “Party,” the second single off She’s the Best. Every time these two link up it’s an event. We saw it on “Rush,” we saw it on the title track, and this one goes medieval, armor and appetite set against a Berlin club track sampling Madonna’s “Music.” Brooding, sensual, and only possible because of what these two build is together. Already locked in for the rest of the rollout.

Journaling, which I picked back up this week after not doing it in forever. Writing something down by hand puts it in your head differently than typing ever does, it slows things down enough that I can look at myself almost from a third person view. It’s become a real way to offload, and I’m trying to keep it loose instead of turning it into another strict practice, just when I feel it.

IUTD Studios’ (iutdstudios) TBC, a reusable 35mm point and shoot with a transparent PETG body that puts its own mechanism on display. I haven’t shot with one yet, but every sample image I’ve seen makes it look phenomenal. Point and shoots live in the informal end of photography, the grab it and go end, and that informality should mean fun first, not just a spec sheet. IUTD builds toward that instead of just protecting resale value, and it shows.

Anatoly Alexeev’s (aanatolyalexeev) Metal Bound Zine, a piece held together by one oversized metal hinge running the spine. A friend sent it to me and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since, the idea of a zine bound like that is different enough that I could almost feel the cold metal in my hands. It’s the whole case for physical media, a magazine or a book gives you something to hold, and I don’t think I’d seen that argument made quite this way before.

Dilyana Kuneva’s (dilyanakunevaa) creative direction for Les Archives, gems worked directly into the title treatment. It’s the kind of presentation that makes you want to raise your own, everything considered down to
