As National Recovery Month comes to a close, we’re proud to have spent the month highlighting the people and organizations creating pathways to recovery across Denver. Their work reminds us that recovery can take many forms, and that connection, support, and community can make all the difference.

Thank you to our grantees for helping build a Denver where everyone has the opportunity to heal, recover, and thrive. 

Grantee Spotlight: Servicios De La Raza

For more than 50 years, Servicios de La Raza has been a trusted source of culturally and linguistically responsive behavioral health care for Denver's Latine community. Founded to ensure Spanish-speaking families could access quality mental health services, the organization continues to provide compassionate care that honors culture, language, and lived experience.

With support from Caring for Denver, Servicios de La Raza is expanding behavioral health services for youth ages 11–26 through bilingual peer support, individual counseling, school-based mental wellness classes, and family-centered programs that strengthen communication, resilience, and healthy relationships. Youth and families also benefit from culturally grounded healing practices, including expressive arts, while gaining access to wraparound supports such as food assistance, benefits enrollment, and employment services.

By combining culturally responsive mental health care with trusted community support, Servicios de La Raza is helping Denver youth and families build resilience, strengthen connections, and thrive.
