Welcome to this new series where we rediscover the joy of creating art for fun again. Starting with the basics - Acrylic paint 🎨

I used to paint every day…

Until life, bills and burnout got in the way

I lost the thing that brought me the most joy: making art.

So I’m challenging myself

30 days, 30 different art styles

To reconnect with that creative version of me I thought was gone.

This is Episode 1. Inspired by a safari trip with my wife, where we watched birds fly across the sky.

It reminded me that we all need space to rediscover who we are.

To be honest, I was a bit scared picking up the brush again after 10 years

I thought the artist in me had disappeared.

But this piece… it reminded me, he’s still here.

It’s not perfect. But neither am I.

And maybe that’s the point.

It’s proof that anyone can begin again and just have fun.

One day down, 29 to go. In the next episode I’ll be trying a new medium,
