How to balance a logo with a tagline

As designers we will always have clients who need options for their logo.

Some with a tagline, some without, but it’s always good to have a few tricks up your sleeve. Especially as a tagline gives you an extra element to think about. 
 
I find having the tagline 1/3 of the main type height to be a good sweet spot… yes this does depend on the length of the name etc.
