Never lose your creative work again.

One of my favourite tools in affinity is the ability to save your history… here is what I mean.

In Adobe illustrator when you (command Z) back through your process and make changes you LOSE all the work you did before.

So if you want to go back to that spot you have to redo it as all of that work is lost.

But in the new affinity they have actually thought about the creative humans process.

The “cycle future” feature in the History panel allows you to revisit and edit past “branches” without losing any subsequent changes.

When you undo an action and then start a new sequence of edits, the original path is saved in a separate branch, and you can use the “cycle future” icon to switch between these different edit histories.
