Logo designers: Try this simple balancing technique 

Some context: In this reel I wanted to share how I balance an icon with the type in a horizontal lockup.

Usually I would have placed the icon in the middle of the square shapes… but as the tracking between the letters in the type is a little larger I wanted to take into about the ‘white space’ so I nudged it over an extra section.
