The football world is in absolute meltdown after Manchester City’s guilty verdict 😳

An independent commission found City guilty of serious financial breaches covering nine seasons between 2009 and 2018, as well as the majority of charges relating to their failure to cooperate with the investigation.

The report claims the club used sham arrangements to artificially inflate its revenue and reduce its costs by more than £900 million.

No punishment has been decided yet, but potential sanctions could include a huge points deduction, fines or even expulsion from the Premier League.

City continue to deny any wrongdoing and have vowed to appeal the decision, meaning this enormous saga still is not over.

After years of waiting for the verdict, football fans have completely lost their heads. This is going to get very messy.
