Michael has moonwalked into box-office history 🕺🧤

The Michael Jackson biopic has ended its global cinema run with a massive $1.028 billion, making it the first biographical film ever to cross the billion-dollar mark.

It comfortably passed Bohemian Rhapsody’s $910.9 million and Oppenheimer’s $976.7 million to become the highest-grossing biopic of all time.

Starring Michael’s real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson, the film also finishes as the fourth biggest release of 2026 so far, behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day, The Odyssey and Toy Story 5.

The critics may have been divided, but audiences turned it into an absolute monster hit. A sequel is already reportedly in development 👀
