I wasn’t expecting to get emotional in the middle of @grandcentralnyc today. 🎀

But after watching that live truly defying gravity performance of @cteendryer , surrounded by survivors, advocates, families, and people whose lives have been touched by breast cancer… everything suddenly felt very real.

I walked through the @bcrfcure pop-up — learning the signs, reading messages of love, etc… This isn’t just awareness. This is someone’s mother. Someone’s sister. Someone’s best friend. Someone’s whole world. And maybe that’s the reminder we all needed today: don’t wait to tell someone you love them, don’t ignore changes in your body, and don’t underestimate the power of research.
