Auburn pulled off a dramatic reverse sweep at Arkansas, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to win its SEC opener 21-25, 23-25, 28-26, 25-19, 15-9, extending the Tigers' winning streak to eight matches.

Arkansas came out rolling, taking the first two sets to seize control of the match. The Razorbacks led 23-22 in the second set on an ace from Belle Patrick, but Arkansas won three of the next four points to close it out 25-23 and take a commanding two-set lead. Auburn finally found its footing in the third, falling behind 17-12 before rallying with a kill from Lauren Dreves and an Arkansas error to pull within two points of a comeback. The Tigers and Razorbacks traded points deep into the set before another Dreves kill, paired with an Arkansas miscue, gave Auburn a 28-26 set win to cut the deficit to 2-1.

Auburn carried that momentum into the fourth set, closing it out 25-19 to even the match and force a decisive fifth. The Tigers dominated from the start of the finale, building an 8-2 lead that forced an Arkansas timeout, and despite a late push from the Razorbacks that pulled them within seven at 14-7, Dreves turned away Arkansas's final response to seal the 15-9 set and complete the reverse sweep.

Patrick was the offensive catalyst for Auburn, finishing with a monster 29 kills, while Shanelle Puetz led the Tigers with 33 assists, outright topping the team in that category for the first time all season. Symone Sims added three aces and Kate Mansfield anchored the defense with four blocks. For Arkansas, Lakin Laurendine led all players with 17 kills, Romani Thurman added 13, and Kiki Remensperger turned in a double-double with 36 assists and 15 digs, a season high.

The win improved Auburn to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in SEC play, marking back-to-back seasons the Tigers have beaten Arkansas under head coach Brent Crouch. The loss dropped Arkansas to 8-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play, extending the Razorbacks' recent struggles against Power Four competition.
