#TSRUpdatez: As previously reported, #RickRoss was arrested early Thursday in connection with a domestic battery charge. Now, details about the arrest have emerged, and his lawyers are speaking out.

According to tmztv, law enforcement sources shared the arrest occurred after an ex-girlfriend called the police on Tuesday and said he had been violent with her.

The woman told police that the alleged incident happened on August 28th, and accused him of waking her up in a jealous rage over a photo she was tagged in on social media. She then alleged that things turned physical.

The woman alleged that Ross questioned her about lying to him, and then allegedly slapped her. She went on to claim he struck her after she denied his accusation that she was involved with someone else.

Law enforcement sources reportedly told the outlet that she alleged that he “struck her in the chest several times, choked her to the point where she could not breathe, grabbed her by her ponytail and slammed her against a wall.”

The woman provided police with photos of her alleged injuries, and Ross voluntarily surrendered to police early Thursday.

His lawyers, Steve Sadow and Bradley Horenstein, said the rapper is being “wrongfully accused by an ex-girlfriend whose true motivations are unclear.”
