AI animation is getting to the point where you can watch an entire clip and not immediately realize it was created with AI. 🤯🎬

“Smooth Operator” by @antrofrog follows an unusually calm man strolling through London, coffee in hand and umbrella overhead, while somehow turning into the city’s most effortless problem-solver.

A flying hat? He catches it.
A kid speeding away on a scooter? He saves them.
Stolen sausages? Returned to the butcher.
A cat in trouble? Rescued.
A falling ice cream? Caught.

Then a taxi sends a huge wave of water toward him, and without missing a beat, he spins his umbrella and blocks the splash.

All of it happens while Sade’s “Smooth Operator” plays in the background. 🎵☂️

The clip attracted attention partly because many viewers said they initially assumed it was a conventional animated short. It was only when certain moments started looking unusual that they realized AI was behind it.

And honestly, that might be the most fascinating part.
AI animation is improving so quickly that the question may soon stop being “Does this look AI-generated?” and become “How long does it take you to notice?”
