Some honors recognize success. This one recognizes impact, legacy and the doors opened for everyone coming next.

Tina Davis, President of Empire , received the BMAC Clarence Avant Trailblazer Award, recognizing a career built on vision, leadership, courage and creating real opportunity for others.

And in a special surprise, Montell Jordan took the stage to present Tina with the honor.

Clarence Avant showed us that real power is not just about what you build for yourself. It is about who you open doors for, who you protect, who you champion and what you leave behind.

Tina Davis has carried that spirit throughout her career and continues to shape the future of music with purpose.

Congratulations, Tina. Well deserved. #BMACGALA #TinaDavis #BlackMusicActionCoalition
