## Caption

The northernmost Raising Cane's restaurant in Michigan is currently in Saginaw. However, it could be in Mount Pleasant as soon as next school year.

The Raising Cane's building would be located immediately south of the Papa John's, where the former La Señorita restaurant was at 1516 South Mission St.

Currently, the restaurant chain must be issued a Special Use permit, which would allow it to build the drive-thru portion. Powidayko said this was the first of many licenses the chain restaurant needs to be fully approved for construction.
