Djurgärden vs AIK

3Arena + Match Facts:

This stadium is the home ground of both Hammarby and Djurgärden, two of the most popular clubs in Sweden. On this trip, we got to witness Djurgärden take on AIK for a memorable edition of the “Tvillingderbyt” (the Twin Derby), widely considered the fiercest rivalry in the country. Both clubs were founded mere weeks apart from one another in 1891 and have been bitter enemies ever since. These two sides have 12 league titles apiece, and their fans are notable for their tifos, deafening chants, and pyro displays that will leave anyone speechless. 

3Arena was inaugurated on July 20, 2013, with a  capacity of 30,000 to 35,000 spectators for football matches, depending on the number of people standing. 

Before the game, we got to visit the Old Town in Stockholm, Fotografiska Stockholm, Pascal Cafe, and Brunos Korvbar. It was a great way to round out our 48 hours in Sweden.
