Shaquana Simpson is using her skills and a positive mindset to uplift those around her.

As a Peer Success Coach in psu_liberalartschaikencenter, she has instituted Mindfulness Mondays, a weekly event that helps students refocus while reflecting on their mental health and wellness. She graduates this spring with a double major in Criminology and Psychology, but will leave a lasting legacy of self-care, community, and making a larger impact through small acts of kindness and support.

After graduation, Shaquana plans to take a gap year before starting law school. Her long-term goal is to become a juvenile defense attorney, supporting young people who may not have the resources or guidance to advocate for themselves.
