Which season are you saying hello to? 🌍

On 23 September at 2:04 CEST, the Sun crossed the equator and Earth reached its September equinox. Half the planet said hello to autumn. The other half said hello to spring. And for one moment, both halves get roughly equal daylight.

Our Earth observation satellites catch that balance from orbit. Swipe through to see the line between day and night run pole to pole, straight across the globe as seen by MTG-I1.

So, team autumn, team spring, or team “”I just love that the whole planet is in balance for a second””? Vote and tell us why in the comments.
