The man who died after his plastic bag got caught in a Brooklyn subway's closing door apparently wouldn't let it go, a law enforcement source says, adding that video shows him appearing to still clutch it as the train drags him down the platform and into a wall.

The man, in his 50s, died at the scene of Monday's rush-hour accident on a Manhattan-bound A train at the Utica Avenue station. He fell and rolled onto the tracks after he hit the wall, but the source says the train had already left the station and he wasn't struck. His identity has not been released.

According to the law enforcement source, video shows the man walking to get off the train around 5:30 p.m. He has a cane in one hand and carries a plastic bag in the other; the source described it as the type of plastic blue bag one might get from a bodega. The doors close on the plastic bag.
