These covers aren’t trophies. They’re proof for my kids that families like ours belong in every story. 🤍

People sometimes ask why I say yes to EVERY interview, every podcast, every photo shoot. The truth? It’s not about me. Well, Ok. maybe sometimes 😉 But at my core it’s about them.

When my kids flip through these pages one day, I want them to see a family like ours, a gay, Latino, single-dad family (til recently), being celebrated out loud. I want them to know the love that built our home was always worth sharing.

Every time someone invites me to tell our story, I remember how few stories like ours I saw growing up. So I say yes, with gratitude, because each one leaves a little more room for the next kid who needs to see it’s possible. And for the next intended LGBTQ+ parent who wonders if they can do it. 

Every interview and every invitation is an honor, because someday they’ll look back and know we were never hiding. That’s the legacy I’m building. Not a résumé. A roadmap. 🌈
