New York Mets prospect Jonah Tong and Ronny Mauricio showcase their potential as the Mets clinch a late-season win.

Can either secure a lasting role in Queens next year?

Ryan Finkelstein breaks down Tong’s electric start, featuring a dominant fastball-changeup combo that reignites hopes of a future in the Mets’ rotation or bullpen.

Mauricio’s two home runs prompt questions about his future amid roster crunch, and whether the Mets could leverage his promise for bullpen depth via trade.

Key topics include the outlook for the Mets’ 2027 rotation, Andy Green’s candid assessment of player development, and the heated NL Rookie of the Year race between Carson Benge and Sal Stewart.

The playoff landscape takes center stage as the Philadelphia Phillies’ postseason dreams hang in the balance and the Mets’ draft lottery odds come down to the wire.

Will the Mets’ late-season efforts shape the playoff picture and their own rebuild?
